In a bid to increase awareness on the Trust and deepen the knowledge base of our clients and members of the general public on the operations of Scheme, NASSIT has continued its intensive public education campaigns ranging from mobile sensitization, face to face public education and radio discussion programmes, trade fair and sports participation.


In order to have an in-depth understanding of the role in the processing of the invalidity benefits and to fulfill legislative requirements,  Management organized a one-day orientation and swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed Medical Board members at the NASSIT Conference Hall on the 28th. June,  In addressing the appointees, the Director-General (DG)of NASSIT Mr. Mohamed Fuaad Daboh welcomed all to the orientation and swearing-in ceremony especially the Board of Trustees.

The swearing in ceremony of a new set of Trustees for the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) took place on Friday, 15th February, 2019 at the Conference Room of the NASSIT headquarters at Walpole Street in Freetown. Speaking during the ceremony, the NASSIT Director General, Mr. Mohamed Fuaad Daboh, who earlier introduced his team of Directors and other Management staff, congratulated the Trustees on their appointment as members of the Board.

in line with the Trust's efforts to deepen the knowledge of members,   potential members and the general public on the activities of NASSIT, and to bring the scheme closer to the people, the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) on Thursday 20th June 2019, engaged staff and students of the Eastern Polytechnic, Kenema, in a public lecture on the theme, Social Protection for National Development. 
This first in a series of public education and knowledge-sharing events which attracted hundreds of students and lecturers were conducted at the Tejan Kabba Hall at the Kenema campus of the Eastern Polytechnic.

The Electoral Commissioner for the just concluded NASSIT Staff Association elections, Mr. Mohamed Jusu Banya has officially presented the newly elected President to the Director-General, Mohamed Fuaad Daboh. The elections, which took place on Monday 25 March 2019, saw Ms. Patricia Osuwo emerge as the winner. Giving a background to the elections, the Electoral Commissioner expressed his satisfaction over the conduct and outcome of the election.

The Director-General of the National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) on Friday 17th May 2019 pledged to journalists his commitment to turn over the fortune of the Scheme.   Mr Mohamed Fuaad Daboh made this pledge at a one-day press seminar organized by NASSIT at the Golden Tulip Essentials Kimibima Hotel. This one day knowledge deepening event which attracted media practitioners from both print and electronic media across the country was not only interactive but also very educative.
