In a bid to increase awareness on the Trust and deepen the knowledge base of our clients and members of the general public on the operations of Scheme, NASSIT has continued its intensive public education campaigns ranging from mobile sensitization, face to face public education and radio discussion programmes, trade fair and sports participation.

In March 2019, NASSIT officers visited Kissy Shell, Lumley market square, Goderich, Bottom Mango, Wilberforce on mobile sensitization; the Sierra Leone State Lottery (Lotto), Vice President’s Office, the Annie Walsh Memorial Secondary School, Servant Leaders workshop, Mercury International and Methodist Church Sierra Leone on face to face public education programmes.

This is in addition to the weekly radio discussion programmes on the Africa Young Voices (AYV) 101.6 FM and Radio Democracy 98.1FM radio stations. The Mobile sensitization team was also present during the Republic of Sierra Leone Arm Forces annual inter brigade sport meet organised at the Bo Mini Stadium on the 29th and 30th March 2019.

This sports meet brought together military officers from all over the country and also had spectators from all works of life.   The NASSIT team conducted an intensive sensitisation campaign on key thematic areas of the scheme ranging from an update of members records, compliance, benefits and qualifying conditions. The team addressed concerns from customers and members of the public.
This is an ongoing media campaign and is open to every employer, employee and members of the general public.
